There has been a lot going on lately in my world. Not least among those is the purchase of a new home.
After much wrangling and wrestling my wife and me along with our son, my in-laws and a crazy old uncle will be moving into a new 7000+ square foot home in the next few weeks. We close on the property this week and I am very excited to get moved in.
The property is a 60 year old home in the heart of my home town of Louisville, KY. Being that old, the house has some character as well as some defects. I will be blogging about the renovation efforts along with before and after pictures whenever I can find the time.
While I am certain that most of my universe will revolve around this new endeavor for the foreseeable future, I intend to keep focusing on my writing. It will not be easy however so I am making myself accountable via an only activity log that will log all of my writing and keep track of my goals. I won’t be easy but I hope that along with the support of my fellow writers and the .3 (yes, point three) people that read this blog I can keep up the streak.
You can access my writing log here or via the link to the right.
Lastly, I expect that my website will undergo some visual changes in the near future. As my life changes so must my blog, no? So keep an eye out for a new look and feel around here.
I didn’t know you blogged. I also didn’t know about the house. The last time we talked, the deal had fallen through. Congratulations!
I’m afraid it’s an unfortunate side effect of writing… you look for anyway to dissuade yourself from actually putting words to the page. Blogging is an easy conclusion. :)
Yeah the house deal was rejuvenated and is now all but official. Thanks for the congrats!
come again? you are moving in with your inlaws? You are crazy.
Where’s some pics of the kid? this big ass website and you can’t take time to post pics of the kid? smuck
Well, I like to think that they are moving in with us, especially since that was the inevitable situation that drove this entire deal. But yeah, the long and short of it is that we’ll soon all be under the same roof. Scary stuff. :)
Point taken on the lack of pictures… I put em all on Facebook and never think to put em on here.
