As I’ve noted before, Charles Coleman Finlay produced a wonderful story this past year that was featured in Fantasy and Science Fiction Magazine. I loved the story the first time through and recently re-read it with just as much excitement as the first time.
I’m apparently not the only person who enjoyed this novella as it is a finalist for the 2009 Nebula Award as well as the 2009 Hugo Award. As a result it is available to read for free over at Fantasy and Science Fiction Magazine’s website. I encourage you to give it a read and if you enjoy it, consider a subscription to this consistently brilliant publication.
